We are excited to announce the launch of the Erasmus+ project, RECALL: A Study of Common Memory and Central European History for Collective Remembrance, which officially began in September 2023. This initiative aims to achieve three primary objectives:
O1 – Strengthening Central European Identity
The project will map, study, and catalogue Common Memory and Central European History (CMCEH) to bolster a shared identity across the region.
O2 – Enhancing Knowledge
Professors and students will gain deeper insights into the historical significance of CMCEH through various educational resources and activities.
O3 – Creating a Central European Students Network
A network of Central European students will be established to promote collective remembrance and act as local ambassadors for the project.
By identifying common historical and cultural heritage sites in Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Poland, the project seeks to highlight the region’s shared identity and foster unity among Central European countries.
Project Outcomes
The RECALL project will deliver several significant results:
- 4 Maps of Common Historic Places
- 1 Online Catalogue of the CMCEH
- A Joint Set of Virtual Curricula
This includes teaching, engagement, and assessment methods. - 1 Online Micro-course
A 12-module course on Common Memory and Central European History. - Strengthened Central European Identity
For academic staff, researchers, professors, students, and others involved in the project or its dissemination activities. - A Network of Student Ambassadors
Students will act as local ambassadors of the project, promoting collective remembrance. - Enhanced Long-term Academic Cooperation
Among partners, leading to increased academic excellence and course development. - Increased Engagement
Of professors and students in course development, adopting a student-centric approach.
Partnership and Collaboration
The partnership for this project comprises members with a history of successful collaborations, having implemented student and staff mobilities through national, Erasmus+, CEEPUS, and Visegrad funds.
