We are excited to announce that production has officially begun for our new online course, „Unity and Diversity: Central Europe Through The Centuries”, developed within the framework of the ReCall Project.
This course is part of the ReCall Microcourse initiative â a groundbreaking educational effort designed to foster a shared understanding of Central European history, culture, and memory. By bringing together experts from Hungary, Poland, and the Czech Republic, the course connects diverse historical perspectives and cultural narratives to explore the regionâs complex past in an engaging, accessible, and collaborative way.
đ About the Course
The microcourse is comprised of 15 video-based modules, each addressing a pivotal theme in Central European history â from cultural milestones and political transformations to moments of international cooperation and conflict. Each topic has been carefully selected to illustrate both the interconnectedness of Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Poland, and the unique national trajectories of each.
Through a multidisciplinary approach, the course not only expands historical knowledge but also cultivates critical thinking skills necessary to understand complex historical and societal developments in Europe and beyond.

Each video lecture, approximately 30â35 minutes in length, is delivered by leading scholars and experts from the country responsible for the given topic. These professionally recorded sessions are supplemented with:

Over the next month, our national teams and coordinators will be filming on-site in Budapest, Brno, and WrocĆaw. These sessions will bring the course content to life with rich, localized perspectives, setting the stage for a pilot launch in the autumn following editing, subtitling, and post-production.
